(Toronto) Barrick Gold produced 1.16 million ounces of gold and 103 million pounds of copper in the third quarter, the mining company said in preliminary results Thursday.

The preliminary sale of the Toronto-based company totaled 1.25 million ounces of gold and 116 million pounds of copper.
The average market price for an ounce of gold was $ 1,909 in the third quarter, while that of copper was $ 2.96 per pound.
Barrick said its gold production for the first nine months of 2020 totaled 3.6 million ounces, and said it still expects to meet its full year production target.
The mining company had predicted that its gold production for the year would be between 4.6 million and 5.0 million ounces.
Barrick will announce its full financial results for the third quarter ended September 30 to November 5.
