The year 2021 has some amazing surprises for us in-store, including the long-awaited Mercedes-Amg GT Black Series. This spectacular series will be an updated form of the standard GT and Mercedes. It will combine premium design with comfort to present us with the most sophisticated automobile of the decade.
With the arrival of 2021, we are being blessed with the long-awaited Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. It is an update for the standard GT and Mercedes revealed it in style.
The new output of the coupe and roadster’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 has increased to 530 horsepower. The previous one stood at 476. This increase narrows the gap between AMG GTR’s hp by 37, so a similar upgrade can be predicted for the GTR.
Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series performance
Mercedes-Amg GT Black Series doesn’t specify the performance enhancement after the increase of the output, but after research and results from it can be expected that the sprint time of 3.9-seconds 0-62 mph for the GT will reduce by a few tenths of a second.
The new AMG GT’s Standard equipment now comes with the AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping adjustment, high-performance composite brakes, an electronic locking differential on the rear axle, and red brake callipers. A lithium-ion starter battery and a “Race” drive program are included in other new equipment. An optional active rear-axel steering is also available in concurrence with the AMG Dynamic Plus Package.
AMG introduces a special night edition for GT adding the AMG Exterior Night package, black brake callipers and headlight surrounds, a dark chrome grille and with the front consisting of 19-inch matt black Y-spoke wheels and 20-inch wheels on the rear.
The exterior enhancements are completed with a carbon roof with dark-tinted areas on the Coupe and Roadster’s black soft top. Basic options for paint include black, obsidian black metallic, selenite grey metallic and design graphite grey mango.
In the cabin are the sporty enhancements. With the night edition comes AMG performance seats, an exclusive interior night package, paddle shifters and AMG steering wheel in Dinamica microfibre with black spokes.
Nappa style leather upholstery with diamond quilting, and a choice of black piano lacquer or carbon fibre trim. The centre console contains a badge that highlights the exclusive night edition.
It’s said that the new AMG GT will arrive in dealerships in Europe this November. The coupe’s starting price will be around 119,079.80 Euros, and the roadster will have a starting price of 130,679.80 Euros. As for the US pricing and availability, we are eagerly waiting.
