Microsoft Surface Duo gets Bluetooth SIG Certification

The dual-screen smartphone which was announced by the company previous year along with a few details. Is all set to launch in the holiday season of 2020. Yes, we are talking about the Microsoft Surface Duo.

Since we didn’t hear much about the specifications of the Microsoft Surface Duo except for some rumours, but, now the device can be seen on the Bluetooth SIG website with 1930 model number.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get any information apart from the fact that Duo sports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity through the SIG website. Because they can’t reveal anything about the device as per the company norms. But through the FCC document, we get to know about some few details of MS Surface Duo. Such as it’s running on Android 10 alongside support for all major LTE bands in the US, NFC and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Meanwhile, a leakster, confirmed that the smartphone will also available through At&T. Apart from this, he didn’t provided any further information.

The specifications, reviled by the rumour mill includes a dual 5.6 inch screen with FHD resolution of 1080p. Under the hood it has Snapdragon 855 chipset along with a 3,460 mAh battery.

It is also a rumour that the Microsoft Surface Duo will also support MS Surface pen with an impressive range of features and advanced integration. The hybrid handset will perform all the tasks on Android 10 operating system out of the box. It is also assumed that in future, all the users will be able to upgrade the OS to Android 11. As Microsoft is reportedly working on an Android 11 update in time for its launch.
